Jokowi again issued a firm statement, no kidding

President Joko Widodo held a meeting to prepare for the 2024 Simultaneous General Election and Pilkada.
During the meeting at the Presidential Palace on Sunday (10/4/2022), the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan was also present .

Then, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Menkumham Yasonna Laoly, State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo also attended.
Jokowi has again asked his aides in the cabinet to stop voicing the issue of delaying the 2024 election.

"There should not be speculation that the issue is circulating in the community that the government is trying to postpone the election or speculation about the extension of the president's office and it is also related to three terms," ​​he stressed.

Previously, Jokowi explained that the meeting was to discuss preparations for the 2022 general election and regional elections.
He then asked to inform the public regarding the stages and schedule for its implementation.
According to him, everything is clear, that the elections will be held on February 14, 2024.

Furthermore, Jokowi admitted that he agreed with the election schedule, while the Simultaneous Pilkada was on November 27, 2024.
Meanwhile, for the election stage, Jokowi said it would start running in mid-June 2022.

Jokowi explained that this was in accordance with the provisions in the law, which was 20 months before the vote.•
